I just learned that you have awarded Literacy Volunteers and Advocates (LVA) a grant. As Vice-President of the Board, thank you very much for your generosity and look forward to a growing partnership between PEPCO and LVA. As you are well aware 4 in 10 adults in DC cannot read food lables or help their children with homework. They represent the lowest-literate adults in the District of Columbia. Many have little hope of ever achieving a GED. So, again thanks for helping us keep our doors open to serve these adult learners. I am an associate of Thomas Grahama's. We attended Georgetown together. I also sent him a note of thanks. I applaud the work that you two are doing!
