Our Morning Roundup

A touching story about a New York man charming his mugger. Do you buy it?

Hard not to be cynical when people do shit like putting lawn furniture in the middle of the highway to see how drivers react. In at least one case, they crashed.

Prince of Petworth asks, will we rent bicycles? Woo! Yes.

The ace young reporters at the Diamondback have published some fabulous photos of frat hazing. The University of Maryland says it was an isolated incident. Tee hee.

As usual, I’m a little behind. But it seems that muxtape is the new cool internet music listening gadget of the moment.

Spring is here. Some silly bird decided to lay her egg at the Third District police station.

i’d rent a bike (even though it’s clearchannel). i think there are some wrinkles to be ironed out (no locks, no helmets), but i think that it could work. someone on PoP said it’s not practical because, since the bikes can’t be locked up anywhere but their stations, the only thing the bikes could be used for is joyriding. it seems to me that that is kind of the point.

as a non-bike-owner, i have to say that i wouldn’t mind just being able to use a bike for a few hours to ride around. if i were in a position that i needed a bike to run my errands, i’d just buy my own.
