Confidential to the Man Peeing in the CP Parking Ramp

Dude. Come on. There is a Starbucks not three minutes’ walk from here. Unless you’ve got some sort of infection, there is no reasonable excuse for this sort of urban-compact-shattering behavior.

The other afternoon I watched a neighbor, who was walking back to his house from the liquor store on the corner, stop and pee in the alley NEXT TO HIS HOUSE. Must be a DC thing.

I disagree. I think you should be able to piss anywhere in public. Pissing, like breast feeding, is natural.
For several years I lived in South Korea, where street pissing is a way of life. I have to admit that I’m a convert. There is no need to run down the street and beg the guys at Kramer’s for a bathrooom token. Shouldn’t have to hide up in the CP parking deck either. Let it fly along the road. It drains, like rain, into the soil, which is why nobody posts signs asking dog owners not to let their currs piss in their yards. Shitting, of course, is another matter.

If the guy wanted to pee outside, he could have at least gone somewhere where the rain will take care of it. Inside the parking ramp, the piss is just going to sit.

Your hydrology is spot on. He should have chosen a place not paved.

Is it me, or do some folks don’t understand the concept of common courtesy? Last time I check, public urination isn’t a right. I can see some folks need to do a better in bladder control, like cutting on what you drank during the night.
