How Many Workers Does It Take To Fix A Metro Escalator?

    Is that Potomac Avenue? The bigger question is: why have they been working on that escalator for three months?

    It’s the Georgia Ave – Petworth Station. I recognize the mural in the background, the construction sign, and the sign above the trash can re: the Yellow Line.

    They took a couple days at least to work on that escalator. Like so many Metro stations, there are always people standing around and talking or using their phones instead of working or assisting passengers.

    You should not make fun of people who do manual labor. Besides, you do not know the circumstances of the work required. Have you even thought about the safety regulations associated with this type of maintenance? It could be that several parts have failed within the escalator. My advice to you is, if you really want to know “How many workers does it take to fix a metro escalator”, then go ask the people that are trying to fix them.
