DC loves a winner, and if you're a loser (or have been losing lately)... we don't care. I'm sure that if they make the playoffs and do well, then people may take notice (like the last time they made a run). But unless they change their names to the "Redskins" and sign Clinton Portis to play goal, no one in DC will care. I think it's the same for all DC sports except the Redskins.
