Sure, go ahead and say "gay", just don't say "gay and lesbian", or "GLBT", because that would be redundant, since lesbians are homosexuals. So the term "lesbian" needs to go as well. God, I need to suck some cock, or whatever.

Illegal aliens aren't immigrants. Perhaps "invaders" or "visa-overstayers" would be better, depending on the circumstances.

Growing acceptance of homosexuality means a decline in social stigma associated with same-sex relationships, bistiality, sadomasohism and a consequent shift in the politics of coming out. The more people come out, ingaging in open and productove homosexual activities, organize clubs for gay and lesbian professionals, lobby congress the more accepting people are around them, and the more accepting the public becomes, the more people come out. As a proud Catholic Jew who is married to Palestinian Arab i am so happy we live in such blessed times.

PEOPLE. what happened to understanding and acceptance? why don't we just live and let live?! stop projecting your own values onto other people. if they're not causing harm, let them do what they want, and be who they want, and YOU can be what YOU want.
i can't believe people are so narrow-minded about homosexuals. they're REAL people, with mothers and fathers and a bad side and a good side and emotions, and kindness, and creativity, and frustration and joy, and thanks to a close-minded morally projecting society, shame for their identity, which NO ONE should have to feel.
it makes me feel so hopeless when i read what people say about other people. stop making generalizations, we're all human beings, we all need love and understanding. have some tolerance and compassion, please. for the sake of the global population, which we are ALL a part of, don't forget.

This is so funny to me. I used to think I was just imagining their "news" had a racist angle to it. I figured it must be just my imagination becuase the paper was a real news paper and had real advertisers. In fact, as a news junkie, I noticed "quotations marks" on several occasions in the Washington Times and was confused. The first and second times were "gay marraige" and I thought they were included as a joke. It wasn't until the third time that I realized they were seriously attempting to pass judgment on "words" or "concepts" they didn't support. After discovering the weird use of quotations, I could suddenly read/see the bias in almost every story. Now I'm sad to see them go. The "quotaion marks" made their bias fun and easy to spot.

"And I think I am conservative in my thinking, but not a rwnj (was not sure what it meant, had to ask a friend), but I do feel the media does not educate the public in certain areas. I feel they have done a poor job on illegal immigration which was why I was upset with the Washington Times. They have been better than most, but not nearly good enough. I feel this is the most important issue in our country today. It has an influence on our economy, healthcare, terrorism, crime, etc.."

I'll have to disagree about immigration being the most important issue. Sorry, my opinion.

Infrastructure, the falling dollar (thanks Mr. Moron Bush), the health care problem, oil, the war, inability to deal with emergencies here at home because the Shrub (Bush the Lesser) has sent the troops overseas, all these things are more important, to me.

Dana you are very welcome! Should we leave Iraq? Just my opinion, I am not real educated in war matters, but I do think if we leave abruptly it would cause total chaos, which would be a hotbed for terrorism to grow.

---

Terrorism is fueled by many things. There was terrorism long before we went into Iraq, which HAD a stable if evil government. There was terrorism in Afghanistan that we helped nurture by proxy fighting the Soviets there. There was terror in the Middle East both by Israel and the Palestinians fifty years ago. There was terror in Iraq when the British originally tried to expand the Empire there.

Whether we go or stay, the muslim radicals will have something to complain about. They always do.

Better we should use the money we are wasting in the dustbowl wars here in the USA where it can help our own country.

We should never have gone into Iraq.

You want to stop illegal immigration or at least put a brake on it? That ten billion a month being tossed away over there could be very useful here.

Ann, thanks very much. When we leave Iraq we might have some money to deal with the problems here then, don't you think?

Might have money to fix the borders properly (and not with some stupid fence), money to replace the Space Shuttle, money to actually help people whose lives are destroyed by natural disasters.

1. $11 Billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens

education for children here illegally and they cannot speak a word of
English!

6.. $3 Million Dollars a DAY is spent to incarcerate illegal aliens.

7. 30% percent of all Federal Prison inmates are illegal aliens.

8. $90 Billion Dollars a year is spent on illegal aliens for Welfare &

9. $200 Billion Dollars a year in suppressed American wages are caused

10. The illegal aliens in the United States have a crime rate that's

11. Du ring the year of 2005 there were 4 to 10 MILLION illegal aliens

The total cost is a whopping $ 338.3 BILLION DOLLARS A YEAR

As I stated before, this is a conservative estimate. According to the FBI or half the gang members in this country are here illegally. Not sure how much the cost of this is, I do know LA spends 160 million a year on programs, gang related. City after city is getting federal grants to fight gangs. And do not forget, you cannot put a price tag on the citizens that are victims of illegal alien crimes!

"# Ann Says:

Hey Ann, I’ll bet that every time one of you RWNJs post something like this, the real Native Americans are laughing their socks off. Keep supporting spending that 10bN dollars a month in Iraq, Ann! The Empire needs Iraq! Phhht!

Response to Dana Curtis:
I was not speaking of Iraq, but since you bring the subject up, 120 billion dollars is less than half what the illegal aliens are costing this country. Conservative estimate is 338 billion a year. And for your information I am 25% Native American and I did not write this comment to be humorous!"

You people never learn... Sources Ann! Link to sources when you are ranting. "Conservative estimate is 338 billion a year." Where is that data from, Ann?

I know some illegal aliens here in Indy, and the ones I know are hard working people. Yes, they are breaking the law by being here, and yes there should be some penalty for that, but the Idiot in the White House, the one that your side has been asking us to trust for eight years? The one that has run the budget into the ground, can't talk worth a damn and didn't know that levees could fail? The Moron in Chief? He has been worthless on this issue, a complete failure, as he has been a complete failure at everything in his life.

I do so love it when the rightists attack the left by quoting George Orwell, the finest democratic socialist of the 20th century.

<i>InRussetShadows said... Let’s play a "guess the party affiliation" game.</i>

OK, I played. I Googled "Renzi indictment" and looked at the newspaper stories that popped up. Here's what I found:

NY Times:
- One mention of Renzi's party affiliation

Boston Globe:
- One mention
- Later mention of 25 R retirements announced (accurate)
- Later mention of R loss in 2006 due to "string of scandals" (accurate)

USA Today:
- One mention

Washington Times:
- One mention

LA Times:
- One mention for Renzi
- Later mention of R's Ney and Cunningham in jail (accurate)
- Later mention of R Ted Stevens under investigation (accurate)
- Later mention of D William Jefferson under investigation (accurate)

Washington Post:
- Put "(R-Ariz.)" after his name
- Later mentions of scandals involvin Cunningham, Ney, and Jefferson (accurate) ... left out Stevens

Star Tribune:
- One mention

The Guardian (about as left as it gets):
- One mention

Reuters:
- One mention

IRS, I guess my results didn't align with your predetermined view of the world. Maybe you should do a bit of fact checking next time before making broad and silly statements.

The Bush administration's "open borders/amnesty" immigration policy has done immeasurable damage to our nation. Forty percent of all ILLEGAL ALIENS now domiciled in the U.S. arrived here since January, 2001. What a rotten stinking legacy Mr. Bush is leaving us.
