Sara.h--be true to your school. You are NOT from upstate. You are from Western New York. WNY, yo! Where people know what 21 degrees "feels like": sweater weather for sure.

Rolo: Well put, and my apologies. High-speed is right, in the sense that I have little time to spare. But good point on the bitterness front. Allow me to put a finer point on this: As the title of the post says, what I really think is lame is the "feels like" function, which is the weather establishment's wind chill factor. I just don't believe in wind chill. It's such a crock.

Your bitterness is so profound that it warps space, time, and mathematics. It was indeed in the 20's this morning. And cold. You are bitching about bitching. Linking to weather.com--some real high speed reporting there. Thanks for that.

One thing you learn growing up in D.C. is that the city is filled--filled!--with people from other places who love to complain about D.C. residents not being able to handle the weather. "You think this is cold?" people always say. "You should see what it's like in upstate New York, where I'm from!"

Bah! Sometimes I wish a gust of chilly wind would blow this kind of griping out of town.
