Maybe they so hate the drag racers and the people who attend these events that they feel they got what they deserved. Come on, you outsmart the police and have scanners to do it and race up and down the highway maybe something bad should happen to you. I think it’s crazy too. I have said all along that he should be charged. Maybe he is their new vigilante justice adjudicator when they can’t be on the scene?!?!?!?!

Dave: Forget about the driver. 50 people were gathered at 3:20AM Saturday on the median strip of a public highway watching an illegal drag race. Someone was probably waving-off on-coming legal traffic, none too successfully in this case.

The victims were active participants in the illegal event, with tragic consequences. No one wants to hear that, even you. Imagine how friends and families of the victims feel. No wonder PG is taking its time on the investigation.

Referring to Bullock, he added: “Don’t let this young man be dragged through the mud.”

According to court records, Bullock has had a few brushes with the law. He pleaded guilty in October 2006 to malicious destruction of property. In February 2007, he was charged with misdemeanor theft. Later that year, in May, he was issued two traffic citations, one for driving on a suspended license and another for having an unrestrained child in a vehicle.

If, as the first reports are true, that the racing cars spun their wheels to make smoke, and the crowd was on the street watching the race, then the crown victoria is not responsible. It’s driving down the road, into a smoke cloud and could not see the people on the other side. If the car had its lights off or was not paying attention, then the crown vic would be responsible. I think the police are still trying to get witnesses together to figure that out.
