I felt the winter weather yesterday after I voted. The sidewalks start to get slippery in the afternoon. I saw ice build on my ride today. I waited until mid morning to leave the house. Better safe than sorry they say.

If this region could get its head around the idea of HAVING A FRIGGIN' BAG OF ICE MELT handy for these circumstances, *then* we'll have a shot at those "Best Places to Live" lists.

Just one bag. Really. Dust your damn sidewalk with it. All it takes.

(Didn't fall last night, but did get all Bambi-on-the-frozen-pond all the way down 18th. Thank goodness for metal railings and lightpoles.)

Way to be ridiculously insensitive. Many people were hurt and the ice caused multiple traffic accidents and horrendous traffic.

Last night's precipitation brought the slipperiest sidewalks since the Blizzard of 1996. No joking!
