What Now for Gandhi?
Before this morning, it looked as if D.C. Chief Financial Officer Natwar M. Gandhi had pulled off one of the great escape acts of modern municipal times. Following the disclosure in November that people in his property tax office had been ripping off the city to the tune of tens of millions of dollars, this confident and persuasive man held onto his job. He did it with a just a dash of public regret, some arrogance, and something of an assist from Washington Post columnist Marc Fisher.
Now this: The Post reports this morning that servers from the D.C. Office of Tax and Revenue, which falls under Gandhi's purview, were found in a Columbia Height alley. No big surprise that the FBI is very interested in just what might be on those servers.
Any predictions on how Gandhi is going to get out of this jam?

I'm glad the Office of the Chief Technology Officer is spending its time weeding out porn viewers at work for the dc gov and not securing the servers at the Office of Tax and Revenue. A few people need to get fired for this debacle. Vivek Kundra needs to start acting like a CTO and not a high school principal

Ghandi must have the patience of the Ghandi to put up with this.

It's 'Gandhi' who must have the patience of Ghandi, Ernest.

I feel like some brandy. Would not that be dandy?

Since I'm feeling randy, I might as well call Sandy.
