Fake Blelvis Alert

A man in Little Rock calling himself “the Black Elvis” has come out in support of the Clinton campaign. “Bill Clinton was inducted into the black hall of fame. Like Elvis, he transcended race,” said Dwayne Turner, who says he has been performing under the name “Belvis” for “a few years.”

D.C.’s own Blelvis has got more than just a letter up on Little Rock’s Belvis: He’s also got a full three decades of Elvis experience and way sweeter sideburns.

It’s unclear which candidate, if any, our Blelvis supports for president: The phone number Blelvis provided me last summer, following a word-association jaunt through Elvis’ catalogue on Columbia Road, has been disconnected.

If you get a chance to ask him, let’s hear it in the comments.
