Free Birth Control in the City Paper Lounge

One more surprise from our new owners this week: our new health insurance doesn't cover birth control. That's $50 a month (instead of about $30).

But whoa, serendipity! This pile of one-time-use prophylactics has magically appeared in our lounge. Two female condoms, two male condoms and little packet of sugar-free, flavored lube. The ladies left on staff could all have sex once a month on this new plan.

i clicked on the creative loafing link. yuck. the sites for all their papers other than CP and the Reader look the same - they are all really ugly and cluttered.

oh, and does Sarasota really need a Wine Editor?

As for the goodie basket - does it really say that the lube is sugar-free? i guess that's for the diet-conscious or diabetic?

Must be those southern roots! Is it really that much of a shock?

Also, please bring back Joe Eaton...he was the best writer on staff.

Thanks Scooter. If you are in a hiring position (or just need your lawn mowed) give me a call. Joe

hahah good one Valdez. I've seen you and there is no way you get laid.

Well, if Wemple were smart, he would fire Valdez and retain Joe Eaton. Most of the articles Valdez has graced DC with are not worth being printed.

Valdez seems to be enchanted with sex and sleaze frankly. And this recent article where she described riding in the Maserati, sounded like a teenage girl writing in her high school diary. Wake up Wemple and fire Valdez or DeBonis.

God forbid a woman write about sex!!

Angela, have you looked into why the insurance doesn't cover b.c.? I find that to be the highest level of bullshit.
