Fisher has Metro-Death Video

Fisher on his Post blog has a link to security video of the recently convicted Metro bus driver hitting and killing two pedestrians last February. You can read about it here.
OK. I’ve just watched the horrible video. All we can say is that the driver should never be allowed behind the wheel again. Period.

Not to say that the whole scene wasn’t horrific. But the lighting at the intersection is horrible. I think that is part of the reason that cars sped by. No one even noticed the bodies. The whole light/dark/light/dark block by block madness is really difficult on the eyes when you are driving in DC. Complex DC intersections and crosswalks need better lighting.
