Easterns Curse Strikes Again: Sean Taylor Shot
Breaking news out of Miami: Redskins safety Sean Taylor was shot in his home early this morning.
Now usually I'd leave this to my distinguished colleague Dave McKenna, but Dave's out of pocket at the moment, so I'll point out the obvious: The Eastern Motors Curse strikes again.
The curse has not been kind to the Skins this year: First cornerback Carlos Rogers has season-ending knee surgery. Then Taylor sprains his knee. Now he's in critical condition.
Clinton Portis must feel like he's in Final Destination 4: FedEx Fright right about now.

Debonis I'm sure you have no idea about this event being that all of the CP staff are trasnplants. My point is I see no difference in that lack of regard for human life and the one you have shown on this post and being that you are no howard stern you should be terminated.

I'm glad that last comment was in all caps, that really makes me pay more attention to it. I'm not mad that he made such a "tasteless" joke, I am just more ashamed that we as a culture have fallen to such a low standard for comedy. Wanna pick on Sean Taylor? How about pointing out the irony of flashing a pistol (which he was very recently in trouble for) and then being on the other side of a pistol flash. I was immediately taken aback by the crude and tasteless posting. The Washington Citypaper has been in decline for the past two years. I hope that this mockery of a human life taken so violently and suddenly pushes it over the edge.
