		<description>The AFM was held on Wednesdays because that is the day the food bank was able to get farmers to attend.  Farmers typically attend more profitable markets on Saturdays. 

Additionally, the CAFB sought other vendors to help create a more robust market, however there has been a moratorium on permits in the District for several years, thereby prohibiting new vendors to sell their goods at the AFM.</description>
