Well! Here goes:

The freelancer linked to by "Mike" pitched us a story about a local boy accused of robbing a bank without letting us know he was friends with the young man in question. When the freelancer started bugging me to keep certain incriminating details out of the story, (He said stuff like, "I want him to get off," my editors and I figured things out and pulled him off the story. I didn't use any of his writing or reporting in the story--was very careful on that point. We also did not use photographs he had provided.

And I was walking along Georgia toward my Petworth home.

No outrage here. Just generic frustration.

A little honesty, please. You've been scolded for walking on Georgia Avenue in cowboy boots and a mini. Not "Petworth", but Georgia Avenue at the Petworth/CH/PV/PP boarder. It's different, and I imagine you know that. More directly, have you ever noticed what the hookers on GA avenue wear? And, related, where do you get your fashion tips? Not like I actually care, but leave the manufactured outrage in the shallow-end, m'kay?
