I am a young witness, the reason I am posting something in this wall is for the person telling the story. I was raised as a witness and then decided not to follow the faith anymore in my mid teens. In the world I saw myself filled with many disappointments, because the reality is that inside all of us is a need and yes i say need for something that is bigger than us and what we see, a spiritual need. The unfortunate reality is that we try desperately to fill that need with material things, fame, money, pleasures, and everything but a spiritual life. And in this process we acquire nothing but heartaches and big problems. After a couple of years i decided to give God a chance in my life..just stop for a moment and think about that..what does God need from us imperfect humans? nothing at all yet, he loves us to the point that he wants "us" to give him a chance to show us how life is supposed to be, and he does so through his word the Bible which we as Jehovah's Witnesses encourage people to read, in contrast to what others might insinuate. TheBible is not ancient book, it is a guideline that is practical to our vey day, I had to find this the heard way by making many mistakes before realizing that spirituality is the essence of life. In the end is up to each person to decide what they want out of their lives, we don;t force believes on anyone, all we do is deliver the message that the Bible sends to each individual, it is up to that person wether to take it or reject it, that message is God's advice through the Bible, you're not turning your back or slamming doors on just witnesses but on a Biblical message also. I personally hope that you consider reading the Bible, and meditating upon it, for your own life benefit, and if you need any help understanding it be sure that any Jehovah's Witness will be more than pleased to sit with you and discuss it

If jws are so concerned that the UN fiasco is a lie propogated by 'apostates' they could always go straight to UN site and check for themselves.

Putting Watchtower in the search there will bring up the March 2004 pdf statement regarding the watchtower.The UN site also lists the criteria.

In regards to RSM's comments...Mr. RSM, I am a Jehovah's Witness and I am insulted that you and all those who were ones witnesses would lie about Jehovah's organization. There is no way on earth that anyone at Bethel acknowledged any "UN, sex scandels, utterly wrong doctrines, lack of love, or selling of any liturature" that you are stating. Bethel always stays neutral and only responds according to what the scriptures say and they always respond in writing, so if you do not have anything in writing from them acknowleding what you are claiming, you are obviously lying. In addition, I am a happy person and so are thousands of other witnesses. if I am not, it certainly is not because I am a witness. No one is making me be a witness. I am being one because I love Jehovah. There are a lot of people I know who make me unhappy that are not witnesses. There are millions of people in the world who are unhappy and they are not witnesses. You on the other hand sound more unhappy than anyone and you are obviously not a witness now, so what is your excuse. I think it is because you do need readjusting, just like the elders said. You really need to remember where your life comes from. If it were not for Jehovah, you would not wake up every morning. Don't focus on the negative, remember the good times you had as a witness and I am sure they outweigh the negative. We have to remember that when we go to the Kingdom Hall, it is to worship Jehovah. We can not worry about what this person is doing and what that person is doing because in the end, we will be held accountable for our own actions not the actions of others. Humans have the bad habit of worrying about what someone else is doing. Talking negative about the Jehovah's witnesses simply because you couldn't live right is not fair. Fortunately, there are some of us out there that don't let others like you lead us astray because we love Jehovah and no matter what anyone says, we are going to stand up for Jehovah, His organization, and what is right. My advise to you and all other ex-Jehovah's Witnesses...Stop lying about Jehovah's organization when you stop associating or being one. Whatever caused you to not be a Jehovah's Witness, I suggest you work it out because the end of days is near and you don't want to be on the wrong side of the fence when the end comes...Get it together people!

What really hurts me about all this negative talk about Jehovah's Witnesses is that no one realizes that they are talking about Jehovah God Almighty and His organization. Without Jehovah, none of us would be alive at all. Don't get mad at the Witnesses because you are a rebel and fell short of being able to apply Bible principals to your life and get yourself together. You obviously want to do things your way and not JEHOVAH's way. Jehovah doesn't have to change for you...You have to make the changes for Him. He exists and will always exist...You will not. So arguing against his righteous principals and trying to make His organization out to be a cult or some negative place is purely stupid. Why are you taking so much of your time trying to tear down an organization that is going nowhere and is growing day by day. Jehovah's Witnesses are going to continue to spread the good news of Jehovah's Kingdom because that is what Jesus did when he was on earth. Jesus set the model for us to follow. So,if you don't like witnesses or what they teach, then that's your choice; but don't try to spoil someone else's chance to change their lives for the better and obtain everlasting life. If you want to die, do that on your own. Don't try to spoil it for everybody else. I speak this way because I have had the opportunity to study all of the religions on this earth and compare and contrast each without bias and to my surprise, the teachings of the Jehovah's Witnesses are the ONLY teachings that match that of the Dead Sea Scrolls. They are the ONLY organization on this earth that are following what Jesus taught while he was on the earth. They don't just come close as some religions do, they are doing it! In addition, some of you who have something negative to say about witnesses have never visited a Kingdom Hall in your lives. You just go by what you have heard someone say or what they saw. You can not make a fair judgement of something you have never experienced. You have to remember. We all are individuals and we all do things differently. What the Jehovah Witness Society does is share to the world exactly what the Bible teaches. It is up to us to take that information and apply it to our lives. Jehovah God is an organized God and he does things in an organized manner. If you don't like the way He does things then that's your problem. Jehovah has put in place an organization that will help anyone change their life and perhaps obtain everlasting life but you must do it His way and not your way. For example, if you created something and you tried to teach someone how to work it, you wouldn't want that someone you are trying to teach to use it in the wrong way or try to tell you how to work the item you created. No, you would want them to use your creation just the way you created it to be used. It's the same with Jehovah. He created us and He knows what it will take for us to live forever. He knows what is best for us. So all you haters and stupid ones who are too ignorant to see that Jehovah only wants us to live clean, good lives forever, go ahead with your bashing and negative words because you will be destroyed along with satan in the end and we will be happy that you are not around to cause or stir up any more problems. We look forward to enjoying a world of paradise, just like Jehovah promises and we all know He cannot lie!

I had cansor and the pastor prayed for me ,after 2 weeks i went back to the doctor for cherking but the doctor said i have nothing now.God saved my life ,i trust him and i believe in him so it is good to read the word of god,he can change your life too.

I WAS one of Jehovah's Witnesses for thirty five years. Then I found out about the UN, the sex scandels, the utterly wrong doctrines, the lack of love, the selling of the liturature. All of these things are fact, and yet when I told an elder about them what did they say to me? You need readjusting. I told him the truth in which Bethel acknowledged and yet I am arrogant for disagreeing with it?

Jehovah’s people are HAPPY people; they KNOW THE TRUTH; and are doing God’s will in sharing that truth with others.

I can honestly say that after being one of them, they are NOT a happy people. That is for show. I knew a lot of them that had a drinking problem. Many of them were depressed for years. There were a few (mainly the ones who had athourity) but for the most part most of the ones I know were miserible but were afraid to show it.

If you want it, take it. If not, don’t. Simple as that!

The Watchtower Organization has brought nothing but pain and division in my family. The first lie is when they tell their home owner that they would like to have a 'bible study' with them. It is always a study of Watchtower material so that they can change the message that the bible provides for us. The Watchtower publications are as important to the survival of this high control group as the Book of Mormon insures the survival of the Latter Day Saints (Mormons).
When one accepts literature from the door knocker they have just set themselves up for a back call (probably in a few weeks). Don't even take the literature.

I know many who believe that the society is run by Jehovah and that the faithful and discreet slave are directed by him. However you might want to check on how various issues are voted on by the " group of ten" You know how your brothers and sister were persecuted in Malawi for not being allowed to work in Hospitals for military service, and hence many were punished, did you know that Jw"s is Mexico are allowed to bribe officials to stay out of miltary service and this has been agreed to by the discreet slave? Sounds odd, it's OK to bribe an official but not OK to work in a hospital. You really need to read " Crisis of Concience" and ask yourself why so many bethel servents in the 1980's were disfellowshipped for wanting to tell the TRUTH

I once knew a brother who stood in his front yard and yelled a challeneged to Satan. In two years everything in his life was destroyed. Danny and his new friends google "Jehovah" every day and post lies and distortions anywhere they can. My friends, its 7 million (+countless angels)to a handful of obsessive haters with keyboards. Lets them have at it. It was long ago prophicied. And what would drive people to this? Every day, day in day out and in Dannys case year in year out. Nothing positive to offer. Just insatiable hate that never tires. Does that sound "human" to you? Who are you really fighting against here? If you're wise you'll leave them alone. They have no affect on honest hearted ones.

Many of those who leave JW's do it for bigger reasons than "it didn't work out like they thought it should." That is an ignorant, self-serving statement that the Watchtower B&TS tells those who remain so that they will feel disloyal to even question the man made organization and incorporated Watchtower Bible and Tract Society(You have apparently bought into the propaganda). Because then it becomes a matter of loyalty to the organization rather than whether a teaching is right or wrong. It is wrong and disloyal to Jehovah for a JW to leave the org. when they know a teaching is unbiblical-they are to WAIT upon Jehovah to clarify things. Basically, if one leaves the WT org. for the SAME reasons they are told to leave their previous religious faith it is a demonstration that they do not love truth, whereas previously it proved that they loved the 'truth'. Loyalty is more important than truth in the organization. It is a juvenile attitude at best, incredibly manipulative and controlling at worst.

You are one of the lucky ones who got away. I was raised as a JW and I panicked every day of my young life that I would have an accident that would require a life-saving blood transfusion and I would be denied because my parents love the Watch Tower more than they loved me. Since then, I have found so much more wrong with the Watch Tower that I cannot even begin to enumerate here--both morally and Scripturally. The Watch Tower is NOT a Christian organization. In fact, it is anti-Christian, anti-Christ, and anti-Scripture. What is promoted is a false gospel by a false prophet organization.

“God’s Word is ALIVE, BUT (Don’t Read It.) Do Not Research your Bible.”

We do encourage everyone to read the Bible every day and to “carefully examining the Scriptures daily as to whether these things were so.” (Acts 17:11)

The Watchtower and other publications of the Society are just aids to understand the Bible and no replacement for the Bible.
