Backer:
i apologize for offending you and other barry bonds lovers. i agree with you that someday everybody will agree that barry bonds will be recognized as the greatest player to play in an era where EVERYBODY -- hitters, pitchers, third base coaches and lance armstrong* -- used steroids and other performance enhancers.

i was intending to tweak barry bonds haters with the first few sentences, but muddled all the words and did the opposite. again, my apologies. to make amends, i'm going to try to get to RFK this weekend to cheer on barry bonds.

*gratuitous reference intended only to drive traffic to the site, since i recently learned an army of lance armstrong supporters spend their lives looking for pairings of "lance" and "steroids."

Old roommate, you still owe me money!

When Kirk Radomski's list of buyer's, that he furnished Mitchell and the Fed's, gets published we'll see how widespread steroid use in all aspects of professional sports really is. Many want to believe it's "all about Bonds." How Dumb can you Get, it's everywhere and it's been used by members of every team. Grow up, get your head out of the sand, and give Bonds credit for being able to do what others have not... Best a record that i always though was unbreakable.

What's more pathetic than Barry Bond's record breaking ball is the fact that someone bought Mark McGwire's 70th HR for $3 million before his steroid use was revealed. We already know Bonds used steroids so his ball will be valued accordingly.

Perhaps Mark's big ball is the most bogus sports memorabilia.

The story carries itself no thank to this writers un-nessesary vulger comment about Barry Bonds Big Balls. Bonds HR balls were hit, they are real, nothing bogus about them. Very poor attempt to act like you know something you obviously don't and can't begin to comprehend.
