Your experience sounds very similar to mine. We arrived with two kids in tow in the early evening and waited for over 20 minutes to be seated. During that time the waiters stood in front of a table of diners and sang, told stories, and generally entertained them. We politely waited since we didn't want to interrupt the show, but one or two staffers were moving about serving some customers. They would occasionally hang out at one part of the room or another and cast glances in our direction, but no one offered to seat us. The place was mostly empty so it wasn't a question of space. After 15 minutes or so, I flagged down one of the non-singing waiters and asked if we could get a seat. He was extremely put out by what he seemed to consider a totally unacceptable request. Of course, he didn't seat us and we waited longer until I had to get more aggressive about it. Once we were seated, the staff was very nice, but the food was extremely average. I have no interest in returning. The novelty of having a guy with a sword talking to you with a pirate accent doesn't make up for the downside.
