If they were actually filming a horror movie in the stations, that would be cool, but otherwise the red lights just contribute to Metro's legitimate safety problem of dim lighting (and do not help with their fake problem of people standing too close to the platform's edge). And the scourge of society--as everybody knows-- is violence. It's also the color of Liverpool FC and prostitution. So why the red lights? Petty economy in total disregard for aesthetics?
