Art Director in Power Grab Shocker!
If you compare this week's paper copy of the City Paper to last week's, you'll notice a subtle difference on page 4. Ever since our redesign, the art director's title has been larger than everyone else's. Wednesday night, I noticed it on page proofs (pictured), and asked Assistant Art Director Alice Lewis to check that my DTs weren't getting that bad.

She confirmed that the title, currently held by Pete Morelewicz, was in fact .514 points bigger than the titles of everyone else on the editorial, advertising, or business staffs. I asked Morelewicz about the discrepancy. "Come on, is the blog that desperate?" he says.

Does ".514" have any significance for Pete? If I'd done that, I would've encoded some sort of message in the discrepancy, y'know, like Pi or 1337 or 2112 or OU812, or the hex code for the very-metal ö (which is ALT-0246 your Windows keyboard).
