What District Landmark Is Next to Burn?

  • Ben’s Chili Bowl?
  • that strip club in Petworth?
  • the Shrimp Boat?
  • Rock Creek Park [it's kinda dry right now]?

[We know this isn't funny, but it's just that, well, the burning of Eastern Market and the Georgetown Public Library has led this office to get to speculatin'. These things come in threes, you know.]

So I guess I should be ashamed that my only thought when reading this was, “What strip bar do you mean?… Name/Address?”

  2. Michelle Says:

Am wondering the same thing as Oak99 - what strip bar in Petworth…oh, I think the one just above Park Road on Georgia Avenue, on the left if you are traveling northbound..forgot all about that one…never mind..

  3. JW Says:

Props to the guy in the kippah on N St. NW who was informing westbound traffic about what had happened to the library.

  4. Angela Valdez Says:

    The House. On Georgia.

  5. Cherkis Says:

Man, you should have said something earlier! Oh, wait you did.

  6. Angela Valdez Says:

I really hope it isn’t Rock Creek Park. Went there tonight for the first time to ride bikes. Pretty amazing place, aside from the cars. It would suck to get caught in an inner city forest fire.

  7. Jonathan Rees Says:

They mean the strip bar Mayor Fenty has secret but part ownership in.

  8. Mr Boots Says:

FYI: The Shrimp Boat building isnt shaped like a boat. I sadly discovered this recently.

  9. Poopy Says:

Rees, You truly are a moron.

  10. WTF? Says:

Is there another strip club in Petworth besides The House?

  11. Jonathan Rees Says:

The House is owned by Skinner, Fenty and another guy.

  12. Poopy Says:

    I call bullshit on Rees.

Put up some proof Rees that The House is owned by “Skinner, Fenty and another guy.”

  13. Jonathan Rees Says:

Poppy, I don’t have to. The City Paper already pointed out long ago this fact.

Take your head out of your lover’s croch and start reading more often.
