The April 6 police department newsletter [PDF] finally hit our inboxes. Here's what we learned:

• Date rape drugs are bad.
• Bandits like to steal cars from gas stations.
• Cathy Lanier's vision for her police department: "a well-staffed, well-trained, and well-equipped department that is responsive to the needs of the community." There was no indication that this was her 30-year vision or whether this was just her 100-day vision.
• Living in the 7th District still kinda sucks. It was the only area that saw an increase in violent crime in March.
• For that special someone, the department has a job opening for the position of file clerk. Only former CVS employees need apply.
