Bring on the Ads!

Linda Cropp has released her first TV spots of the campaign—one positive, one negative:

"Determined"

"Judgment"

What say you, voters—enough to make you think twice about Fenty?

Fenty's record is fair game. His past as a lawyer is nothing to brag about and neither has his tenure on the council.

Add to that the Sinclair Skinner connection and his abysmal handling of that situation. Why anyone would vote for him is beyond me. As Ryan Grim said, Fenty is not the Barak Obamma many think he is.

The ads make one think about voting for Marie Johns. One begins to look more closely at the front runners and rethink the choices. Vincent Orange also comes to mind.

The media moved too quickly to try to make this a two-person race.

Let the games begin, or continue if you will.

Unfortunately for Linda, her record is at once far more lengthy and far less flattering. Here's a nice illustrative vignette: School Board President who presided over a failed system v Newcomer who proposed (and goaded others who were initially hostile into passing) the School Modernization Act.

Isn't the DC School Board by act of Congress totally independent of the mayor and council?

Fenty may be young and less tested than Cropp, but these swift boat, willie horton attacks that Cropp has launched are too Bush/Rove for me. Fenty has carried himself with much more dignity, and I'll be supporting him on election day.

These swift boat, willie horton attacks may seem tacky but effective as they worked to defeat Dukakis and Kerry!

To me Fenty is much more Bush-like than Cropp.

Thanks Rees. Good to hear from the wanna-be expert in revolting, sleazoid campaigning.

Hey Linda, the Jerk Store called--they want their commercials back.
