City Desk Gets Its First Picketers
Linda Leaks and Katie Seitz are picketing right now outside the City Paper offices, protesting a post last week concerning a flyer Leaks penned about a May 6 anti-street-harrassment event.
“We had no intention of targeting any particular group,” Seitz says. As for the quotes on the flyer, she says, “I can see why you think it's suspect.…We all stand behind [Leaks].…Of course not all harrassers speak that way.”
In a conversation with writer Sarah Godfrey, Leaks referred to her as “Condoleezza Rice.”

I think you are taking this article and yourself a little too seriously. Ms. Godfrey was making light(joking)of the fact that you actually put "wid" on the flier.
Lighten up! The fact that you are outside of this woman's place of business is absurd. Did you forget what your real cause is?
I am totally flabbergasted by your lack of respect for Ms. Godfrey and her work and the City?s papers efforts to tell a story. the operative word here is R-E-S-P-E-C-T.
She is telling it the way she sees it. So get out there rally against the idiot men that have no respect for woman and Keep It moving.

I'm still confused. How is it that the term "Miller High Life Block Huggers" suggest only Black and Brown men engage in harrasment? I'm a white young professional who drinks the high life and kicks it on my block. Makes you wonder how Ms. Lone Flyer Maker can be very effective when she is freaking out about this blog.
