		<description>This appears to be a national trend in the mainstream media. The Portland Oregon based daily (The Oregonian) recently became Your Source For Scary Meth News.  &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Until the Willamette Week (roughly, the equivalent of CityPaper) revealed the scare-mongering behind the ooky-spooky headlines. Other local alternative weeklies and blogs are also starting to respond similarly. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Yeah, meth is bad. But it&#039;s not the apocalyptic nightmare that the corporate media would have us believe, apparently. I&#039;m not sure why they&#039;re so invested in this narrative, but thank God for the alternative press. All distortion, whether ill- or well-intentioned, requires exposure.</description>
