Hood: Home Is Where It Hurts
Listening Booth: A Sometime Series
I referenced one of the saddest bands in the world—Hood—yesterday. It got me thinking about the band’s wintry sounds, its bleak album cover designs, and the fact that I found one of its old EPs—Home Is Where It Hurts—buried in my old cube before we moved. Despite its sad sounds, the Leeds-based band has been a going entity since 1990.
I finally got out that EP and actually played it. The record still holds up. It definitely fits our first really bad cold front. Take a listen to a few fair-use sound clips:
“Home is Where It Hurts”
“Cold Fire Woods of Western Lanes”
