Ernest,

Awesome. The Beacon shows are phenomenal... One Way Out (I believe that's the name) is a live Beacon recording that stacks up pretty well against the live @ fillmore standard. Those students are lucky. Hope you get to make it up next spring....

For 10 years The Allman Brothers Band has helped with the Poetry and Rock course I teach at Catholic University (I've also presented an abbreviated version through the Smithsonian). They host us at the Beacon in NYC each spring and give wonderful talks after the performance. They're an incredibly gifted and intelligent group whose graciousness matches their instrumental virtuosity. 2009 will mark the band's 40th anniversary. Here are pics http://galleries.cua.edu/AllmanNYC07.cfm

V,

Much appreciated, and apologies for the brain-slip. Should be fixed now.

Thanks for keeping us honest!

Before you publish information, you should at the very least, make SURE that your "facts" are indeed correct.

Butch Trucks, is NOT Derek Trucks father. However, Derek Trucks, IS, Butch Trucks' nephew.

Thank you for your time. And PLEASE get it correct next time.
