Sex Pistols: 30 Years of Taunting Cowboys
In January 1978 that the Sex Pistols played their ill-fated first American tour, offending the sensibilities of dear old Dixie. In fact, there was one infamous show in Dallas at which Sid Vicious used a thoroughly impolite word to refer to the cowboys in the audience, then clubbed one of them with his bass.
Well, that Dallas gig was 30 years ago this very day, and we’ve got video of it just for you. Sid’s rude word is obvious at the beginning, but you have to look closely at the end of the clip to see his bass action.
