Warehouse Next Door’s Next Move

The status of the Warehouse Next Door has been the source of a lot of confusion ever since the 7th Street venue closed last August. Though owner Paul Ruppert was reported in August to have leased a space at 11th Street and Park Road in Columbia Heights, that building still carries a “FOR RENT” sign; in November Ruppert told the Washington Business Journal, “We’re still looking.”

Some questions might get answered at the Warehouse Theater (still at 1021 7th Street NW) on January 23. At 7 pm that night is scheduled an event titled “Music - What’s Next? An informal conversation about the future of the Warehouse Next Door.” All those who’ve been wondering about the avant-garde performance space, here’s your chance to ask.
