A Reason to Go to The Grog & Tankard

The last time we wrote about the Charm Offensive, we unintentionally gave them short shrift in favor of snack food. To correct that Dorito-ish injustice, we humbly tip you to their benefit show Saturday night at the Grog & Tankard. The band says all of the proceeds from “Charm Aid 2007″ will go to St. Luke’s Shelter for homeless men.

Creating the band’s jangle-and-hum are local music vets Geordie Grindle (Teen Idles, Tone) and Alex Daniels (Swiz, Severin, Julie Ocean), as well as media types Meg Guroff and Chris Lehmann (who earns a paycheck from the same place I do). A fellow Glover Park band, the Drive-In, also is playing.
