<div><strong>The Rest of Friday</strong></div>
<p><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" width="500" height="300" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,40,0"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="src" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/eivjMgWu3JA?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" /><param name="allowfullscreen" value="true" /><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="500" height="300" src="http://www.youtube.com/v/eivjMgWu3JA?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object></p>
<div>How do you feel about <strong>Michael Buble</strong>? Not great, I'm guessing. Well, <strong>David Choi</strong> falls somewhere between a less showy Buble and Jason Mraz at his most sanguine/fedora-clad ("We'll Make it Last All Afternoon"). Apparently he's a big deal in YouTube coverland&#8212;but his versions of other people's songs are, on the whole, a lot less egregious than his anthem "That Girl." Luckily for you, his show at <a href="http://www.jamminjava.com/home">Jammin Java</a> has sold out.</div>
<div><span id="more-32573"></span></div>

<div>
<div><strong>Neon Hitch</strong> will soon be another Lollapalooza Cinderella story, much like Gaga and Ke$ha before her. If this London native becomes the next big thing, it'll be because she sounds like a cross between those too stars.  E! and other celebrity-news juggernauts will recycle the following facts:  Neon Hitch is indeed her real name, she grew up in a gypsy caravan, and she lived with La Winehouse during one of her many homeless periods. With Viking and Powerlaces  at <a href="http://www.jamminjava.com/home">Jammin Java</a> 10 p.m. $10.</div>

<p>Here's what our dear, dear Jule Banville&#8211;<a href="http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/citydesk/2009/07/16/and-with-a-heavy-heart-i-leave-you-or-suck-it-haters/">just gimme a sec to dry my eyes</a>&#8211;had to say about tonight's musical offering at the Rock &amp; Roll Hotel:</p>
<blockquote><p>If <a href="http://www.myspace.com/elizabethandthecatapult">Elizabeth and the Catapult</a> hit its debut a touch sooner—and landed an iPod commercial, of course—it’d be Elizabeth Ziman, and not Leslie Fiest, singing with Tweedy on the new Wilco album. Instead, Ziman’s folksy, jazzy chamber-pop trio has built a loyal downtown following in New York, where Ziman grew up, and packed the Red and the Black last month at the start of the Taller Children tour.</p></blockquote>
<p>JESUS! <a href="http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/display.php?id=37523">Did somebody say WILCO</a>? <a href="http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/blogs/blackplasticbag/2009/07/09/photos-wilco-wolf-trap/">WILCO ALERT</a>! Lizzie and her Cat-o-pole playing music after the jump. <a href="http://www.washingtoncitypaper.com/display.php?id=37528">Show deets right this way</a>.</p>
