D.C. indie rockers Deleted Scenes graduated from local Sockets Records to mid-sized indie Park the Van in April, and their first release for the label—-a reissue of their 2011 sophomore album, Young People’s Church of the Air—-is out this week. We reviewed that thing last September; even if you picked up a copy at one of the very prolific band’s shows, you may wanna grab version 2.0: It’s got four bonus tracks, including an acoustic version and a remix of “Bedbedbedbedbed,” plus two more songs, “Future of Hair Metal” and “Bedbedbedbedbed” B-side “Challenge Club.”

“Future of Hair Metal” contains some thematically appropriate falsetto and a herky-jerky pulse, a creative decision that lands Deleted Scenes somewhere closer to Sparks than Ratt. Take a listen below:

You can pick up a copy of Young People’s Church of the Air via Park the Van. The band celebrates the rerelease July 21 at Red Palace along with Spinto Band. $10-$12.
