Photos: Florence + The Machine @ 9:30 Club

The first half of their set was tentative and a bit underwhelming, but Florence and the Machine quickly got more comfortable during their second show ever in the United States. By the end of the set, Florence Welch and company had the entire floor of the 9:30 Club jumping up and down, which as many bands know is no easy feat. A noticeably thinner crowd stayed for the Temper Trap, ostensibly the headliners, but it was clear that many folks were there for Florence.

Great shots of Florence at the 9:30 Club by Brandon Wu. Thanks for sharing. We did not know Florence was playing the 9:30 Club. Her original schedule had her going from Philadelphia to Boston. So, we went to Philly to see her openning performance at The Theater of the Living Arts. It was totally fantastic from beginning to end. We did not find out till after the show that she was on her way to DC. When we got back to the hotel, we checked for tickets to the 9:30 Club, but it was already sold out. Thanks again,
    Dawson & Audrey
