If you think this is bad, you should see what the Post actually did write about local bands at CMJ. Basic facts about local bands completely wrong, check. Lazy comparisons used to describe the featured bands' sounds, check. Out of context quotes used seemingly for the sole purpose of making cool people seem like douchebags, check. I'll take this over that any day, thanks.

hmm when calling someone out on a "gaffe" you might try at least getting their name right.. or maybe the publication they wrote for.. where did you get the idea that the washington post would pay for a city paper correspondent? do you even know what you are reading?

besides all of this, the short while that Mr Fischer has been working at city paper has been enough to convince me and a lot of other people of the quality of his work. They are lucky to have him.

I'd like to publicly correct one of your most embarrassing of gaffs, for it falsely identifies a one "Evan Brody" as a misinformed doofus when in actuality, you are the doofus.

The label I assume Mr.Brody referred to was Mexican Summer. Mexican Summer is a heralded independent record label, Mexican People, does not exist.

John, why did the Washington post pay for you to attend CMJ? Your writing is as choppy as a box score and you don't know anything about the scene.
