AT JVs, Billy Hancock's voice was great. Unfortunately the mike and mix setup for the rest of the band was horrid. When you did hear Steve Lacy's drums, even after many years of non-playing, he was awesome. The rest was pretty average, but perhaps, it was the horrible set up of mikes and mix.

Steve,
Thanks for your well written and to me, very objective review. It was quite an experience for us to gather in VA after 40+ years, rehearse intensely and perform, warts and all. I especially want to thank all who so kindly came to hear us at Winston's and JV's and express our heartfelt wish that we could've met everyone's (and our own!) musical expectations 110%. Perhaps destiny will allow us the opportunity to do that in the future.
Thanks again to everyone there from all of us in the BW's.
Sincerely,
Jack Brooks
