It's one thing if the album is Sgt. Pepper or Double Nickels or some kind of concept album. But Doolittle was just a regular - if insanely awesome - album. I don't see how hearing it live would be a demonstrably different experience than listening to it on CD at a very loud volume. This "Bands Playing Classic Albums In Their Entirety" thing is played out. It's one thing if the album is Sgt. Pepper or Double Nickels or some kind of concept album. But Doolittle was just a regular - if insanely awesome - album. I don't see how hearing it live would be a demonstrably different experience than listening to it on CD at a very loud volume.
