This was my second time hearing Lily Neill, both at the same location. It's hard to use mere words to describe her music, which combines a variety of styles and influences. My favorites are her own compositions. In addition to her skill with the harp, she tells such wonderful stories about where she has played and experiences traveling with her instrument. She's a unique talent who deserves a much wider audience.

Brandon's experience was typical of the events put on by Barbara & Bernard. This one was exceedingly nice, and the crowd spilled over into other areas of the house where the sounds of the harp filled the space in a comfortable acoustic manner - close your eyes and you could be in a Great Hall in Ancient Times. There were pot-luck desserts, and folks brought libations to share. It is always a treat to see the regulars and meet the new folks. Thank you Brandon for your great review! Hope to see you again.

I've been to their shows at the Old Brogue, but not their house concerts yet - thanks for the heads up.
