I think it’s worth pointing out that the ‘turntable scratching’ is, in fact, guitar playing from the awesome Tom Morello- of Rage Against the Machine and Audioslave fame.

I’m a huge Earle fan, and have been for many years, but my only exposure to Townes’ music so far has been through Steve’s work- this album has insured I’ll seek out more of the originals.
