Jon was one of the first real musicians I met. I worked for Rezin doing lighting, merch, promotion, whatever they needed me to do for them. They became good friends of mine, and I saw numerous shows of theirs, and went to other concerts with them. Jon had a great presence on stage, and he was all about music. I used to cook for the band before shows, and Jon was always so fun and excited before the show, and the same at the after party. I'm gonna miss him so much, I guess they needed a great bassist in heaven. RIP Jon

This message goes out to everyone who has shared their feelings and thoughts about our sweet boy, Jon. I am a native Washingtonian and have unfortunately attended my share of funeral services at King David Memorial Gardens. When I stood up to speak about my son, I was taken aback at the size of the crowd. We were later informed that over 325 people attended Jon's service, one of the largest turnouts on record. While the pain of our loss is constant, we will always treasure the love and affection you exhibited that day and in the weeks since with your heartfelt comments about our beautiful boy who we will never see again. We now have your memories to take with us the rest of our lives. Please dont forget Jon. I'm sure he misses all of you too. Thank you so much. Love, Barry and Barbara Gordon

I saw Jon play some years ago, and was impressed with his playing ,and his tone.He plugged straight in to an SVT with one of his big ovation basses and had the low end tone i love so much.I initially planned to hire him to play two songs on my solo record, but he said "I would really like a chance to play on the whole record" well, he got that chance and kicked some serious ass.he was the fastest learner and one of the most talented players i have ever had the honour of playing with. When I told him we were gonna tour Europe he was estatic. He counted the days literally. He did an amazing job, and I thought the band,JP Gaster{drums} Jon, and I was the funnest and technically best band i have ever been in.We had four days before we left to support Clutch in the US ,and I know he was looking forward to that .I wish it could have been different, but I also know that for Jon,this earth was not his favorite place.May he rock forever on a stage in the sky.WINO

Jon was not only a great guy and gifted musician, but a very sensitive soul. Anyone else ever hear him play Ry Cooder's "Boomer's Song?" I loved playing with him and listening to him sing those old Dead and Dylan tunes. I didn't know him long, but felt I knew him well. He had that way about him.

Jon was one of my best friends since childhood. He was an extrodinary musician and an extrordinary person. I can't find the words to express how much he will be missed, but I know that I was lucky to have know him, and even luckier to have had him as a friend. This world just won't be the same without you Jon. RIP.

Jon was actually the bassist in my band as well. He will be sorely missed. My heart goes out to everyone who was touched by this unique and gifted individual.
