He studied audio in college, and applied what he learned to create these hilariously original songs using political news clips and &#8220;auto-tuning&#8221; their sound bytes, ala T-Pain and Kanye West. The videos have generated millions of hits on YouTube.  In interviews, Michael says that he used simple audio programs on his computer for the sound, and for video, he bought a green sheet from a fabric store to use as a makeshift green screen. He said his process involved, &#8220;laying down the track, tuning the vocals, deciding on the pacing, tracking my vocals, and shooting on a crappy green screen underneath my bed&#8221; (source).
