I am so incredibly envious. Man. I've had the good fortune to see the acoustic Masada at the old Black Cat, and the Masada String Trio at Tonic in NYC -- both fantastic shows.

Thanks Dave. My enthusiasm for all things Zorn kind of comes and goes, but last weekend definitely revived it. Seeing the Masada stuff live really beats the hell out of listening to it on record (not that it's bad on record, at all).

Great reviews. Zorn is always intriguing no matter what he is doing. The avant shit is great, but the surf/noir stuff makes me smile. He covers music for all parts of the body/soul.

May he keep going at the pace he does.
