Capillary Action: Avant-Rock at the Black Cat Tonight

Sometime last year, Philadelphia avant-rock group Capillary Action sent me a copy of their latest album, So Embarrassing, for review at Ground & Sky. I listened to it and was so completely bewildered that I had no idea what to write, and ended up never writing anything (sorry fellas). But this is more a sign of how compellingly weird the band's music is rather than any indictment of its quality, and so I recommend checking them out live (with equally weird D.C. eclectic/acoustic group Gestures) at the Black Cat backstage tonight.

Otherwise, I still have no idea what to write about this band, so I'll cop out and send you over to their Myspace page for a listen.

Er, it occurs to me that this is not clear from this posting: I like Capillary Action quite a bit.
