Freddie was Master in any aspect in music
just recently was checking his beautiful
albums from Cti,
some i new , some was new to me

We thank God, for the life and spirit of the late,Freddie Hubbard. He was truly a great trumpet master. His individual recordings and his work with the Jazz Messengers was like food for our souls. I pray that our beloved brother has found peace with our Lord. Keep the music alive. Continue to play it and make a point of exposing young people to it. I want to offer thanks to David Weiss, for putting the correct info out there. I was reading this thread, getting depressed until I got to David's post. David should know, he's worked with Freddie a lot in recent years.
Anyway, I hope you're able to keep us informed of Freddie's condition. Woody Shaw and Freddie have been my favorite trumpet players in the last 30 years.

I'm pleased to have played and recorded with Freddie. His generation is thinning out, but I hope he can continue to play.
