Recording Max was a lot of fun, especially the title cut, "Hooray For Another Day." I had suggested to Max that percussionist Laura Cerulli would be a good complement for this tune because I have worked with her before on other artists projects recorded here and on my own compositions. They hit it off and off they went on this wild raga ride. Laura was watching Max like a hawk as they both played. We got Max's guitar work and Laura's main hand drum work in one take and then added some cymbals and bells.

There's a part about 3/4 way through where they took it to another level with their rhythms. Laura added some shakers to that section before returning to the main theme. I love this cut for its imagination and spirit.
