I was around 3 rows back for Hercules & Love Affair dancing with at least 5 people around me getting into it... but yea when I turned around I felt as if we were "the crazy ones" but it was MUCH funkier and dancier live as the 2 guys from DFA killed with thier live band, especially horns!

Gnarls was insanely perfect, and agree the radiohead cover was a shock and awe of awesomenoness.

Being from Seattle this was one of my first DC shows, but had H+A played back home I think there would have definitely been more dancing.

Uh, Gnarls Barkley's set closing song is called "Smiley Faces", not "Smiles". And the Radiohead song they covered is "Reckoner", not "Reckoning". Also, I don't know where you were standing during Hercules & Love Affair's set, but from where I was (upper balcony, stage right) I could see people dancing down on the floor and up in the balcony halfway into the set.

I've been to shows at the 930 where the crowd was WACK. Im sure Hercules and Love Affair gets ill crowd reactions where people aren't afraid to dance. My boy and I danced our fucking asses off. They're a dope band. I would definitely go to a show they headline.
