But, yeah, Enslaved's in the NYT. Extreme metal's not just for church burners and deadbeat dads anymore--and hasn't been for years now. Haven't heard the new Meshuggah, but I dug the last one. I've been writing metal stuff for a while, too, and have also been somewhat surprised at the hipster/crit acceptance of these acts. I blame the New York Times for opening the floodgates. Enslaved in NYT? Really? Speaking of metal, I've been streaming the new Meshuggah at their MySpace page, and it's crushing my brain. Kory's a good guy.
