I was asserting that Sebadoh and Bauhaus were overrated bands that magically transform into better but still mediocre bands with the addition of a little Money.

And dude, it's an equation, not a historical progression. Take the Outfield (please!), add Eddie Money, and you get something that sounds like the finer tracks on Survivor's "Vital Signs," an album I was legally obligated to listen to during my adolescence because the main songwriter in the band went to my high school.

Not sure what you're saying, Athitakis. The Sebadoh+ and Bauhaus+ suggestions appear to follow my model (i.e. seminal group + Money = successful bastard child).

I dig the Yanni+, but I think you got the timeline wrong on the Outfield+. Didn't Survivor come first? The equation, then, would be:

Survivor - Eddie Money = Outfield

Right?

I think if you add Eddie Money to anything, it immediately becomes somewhat broke-ass. Other groups that qualify as "something + Eddie Money" include:
