ToDo ToDay: Belleville, Krill, and Piraguas

bellevilleStudio Theatre starts its season with a familiar voice: Amy Herzog. Subscribers and drama nuts may recognize her as the author of 4000 Miles, which Studio produced to great acclaim in 2013 and earned Herzog a Pulitzer Prize nomination. Her latest work, Belleville, is an equally intimate, character-driven production with a bit of French flair—but unlike 4000 Miles, which focused on the relationship between a feisty, 91-year-old grandmother and her grandson, Belleville focuses on the connection between spouses. Read more >>> The play runs Sept. 3 to Oct. 12. at Studio Theatre, 1501 14th St. NW. $20–$78.
