Snow-Related Arts Closures: St. Patrick’s Day Edition

Spring is just days away, but there are six inches of snow on the ground outside, limiting what's happening in the D.C. area today. Here's what's open and what's closed or canceled.

Folger Shakespeare Library: Closed Monday

Ford's Theatre: The historic site and museum are closed Monday. Tonight's performance of The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee will continue as scheduled.

International Spy Museum: Open at 11 a.m.

Kennedy Center: The building will open at 11 a.m. and all evening programs will continue as scheduled.

Library of Congress: Closed Monday

National Archives: Closed Monday

National Building Museum: Closed Monday

National Gallery of Art: Closed Monday:

National Geographic Museum: Closed Monday

National Museum of Crime and Punishment: Open at 10 a.m.

National Museum of Women in the Arts: Closed Monday

Newseum: Closed Monday

Politics & Prose: The store is open but all classes are canceled.

Signature Theatre: The matinee performance of Hero Worship is canceled but the 8 p.m. performance will continue as scheduled.

Smithsonian: The National Air and Space Museum, the National Portrait Gallery, and the Smithsonian American Art Museum are open. The rest of the Smithsonian museums in D.C., as well as the Udvar-Hazy Center and the National Zoo are closed.

The Phillips Collection and Corcoran Gallery of Art are regularly closed on Mondays.
